As the well being of our guests and associates is of paramount importance, Lake View Hotel is closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and following guidelines from these agencies, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and local health departments.

Flexible Reservation Policy

Lake View Hotel is dedicated to serving our guests with genuine hospitality and have adjusted our reservation policy to allow more flexibility on reservations booked directly with us. We are currently accepting reservations for arrival beginning June 12, 2020.

We have made adjustments to our cancellation policy to provide you with maximum flexibility, as follows:

  • Existing Reservations - All individual reservations—even those described as “non-cancellable” scheduled for arrival on or before June 30, 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival.
  • New Reservations - Any individual reservations you make—even those described as “non-cancellable” booked between today and June 30, 2020 for any future arrival date can be changed or cancelled at no charge, up to 48 hours before your scheduled arrival.
  • Cancellations - If you cancel a stay, we will process your refund as quickly as possible. Due to business operation disruptions, it may take up to 10 days to complete your request. If you made your reservation through a third party, cancellations are subject to the individual policies of those third parties, and not Lake View Hotel.
  • Holidays, Special Events, Black Out Dates - Certain dates are subject to extended cancellation policies and are not included in our modifed policy.

If you are contemplating a cancellation we encourage you to reschedule for a later date this season or request that your deposit is transferred to a Gift Card. We will strive to accommodate you at a future date, however, please note that re-scheduled dates are subject to availability at the time of the new reservation, at applicable rates. Please call us at (800) 207-7075 for assistance with rescheduling or transferring your deposit to a Gift Card.

Health and Hygiene – Updated as of June 1, 2020

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols more rigorous, including:

  • Our teams are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas (including lobbies, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.) with the use of hospital-grade disinfectant
  • We will adjust food and beverage service in accordance with current food safety recommendations
  • We have increased the deployment of hand sanitizers
  • We are prepared to act swiftly should we be alerted to a case of coronavirus on our property
